 Yes, not too long ago there was a company that launched Internet use into the average household. Remember the name AOL? AOL was pretty much the standard for Internet communications, even for many businesses. You waited for the sound of your modem to dial up and viola ... you had access to news, chat rooms, search engines, and a whole vast unknown world of web sites to explore.
While we all probably enjoyed the great wonder of the technology, dial up was a pain in the butt. We had to wait to connect and even then cross our fingers hoping we wouldn't be disconnected from our coveted connection. Disconnects led to newer and improved versions of AOL and birthed competing companies such as Earthlink promising fewer dropped connections online.

 With so many options for broadband service available, finding a cheap DSL service is a pleasant surprise for your wallet. However, a cheap DSL service might not provide the optimum speed you are looking for. If you can find the best service at a better price, youll should end up feeling happy with your plan.
Youll need to find out if your local telephone company offers any type of cheap DSL service. Then you should call all other ISP providers in your area starting with the ones you know first. Check the internet, yellow pages and government websites for any local ISP providers and call them all. Take notes on what they tell you so that you can contrast and compare all the offers.
Some people will not be able to get cheap DSL service because they cant get any DSL at all. If you arent within 18,000 feet of your telephone company, you will not be able to get any type of DSL service. Within that correct range you will find plenty of providers. One |

 If you have been anywhere near a computer in the past five years, there is hardly any way that you could have gone without having at least heard something of DSL internet. There are many DSL internet providers out there, and there are many types of other internet providers as well. People have a tendency to lump all of the various types of high speed internet into the category of DSL and with good reason. Although they do not work the same, to the untrained eye cable internet and DSL internet appear to be just the same type of thing and they get the same benefits from using them.
DSL internet and dial up internet do have one thing in common; information is transmitted through the use of a copper telephone wire, just like the ones that allow you to make and receive calls from your landline phone every day. This is just about where the similarities between the two types of internet end, because DSL internet is multiple times faster than even the most hyped up dial up internet access could ever claim |
